Full Project Description – HimmerLand Resort

For HimmerLand Resort’s new multi-purpose hall, we have designed and constructed 11 round, beautiful skylights. The building rises from the ground, with the roof extending all the way to the terrain. Guests at the resort can walk directly onto the green, living roof featuring plants, grass, and small pathways. Our construction for this project is designed to be walkable.

Focusing on creating an integrated and functional solution, we designed and constructed a seating bench around the glass, which serves as a bench. The seating bench is clad with Playtop made from recyclable materials. Specifically, 1,310 used Nike shoes were utilized for this project.

For this project, we delivered a complete design that provides a seamless transition between the glass and Playtop – the seating bench and glass merge together with no visible profiles or rubber joints. Our delivery thus consists of a complete structure that rests directly on the concrete deck.

In this project, we designed the entire solution, managing everything from soil pressure and roofing membrane to the seating bench, including Playtop, and of course, the glass. We have advised ARK and the client from the beginning and have had a close collaboration with Kastberg A/S, who is overseeing the overall contracting for the project.
