ABOUT THE PROJECT

Full Project Description – FLUGT Museum
We had the honor of developing and delivering a completely unique glass façade solution for the FLUGT Museum. This solution transformed the interior of the extension into an open, bright, and welcoming space. The large glass panels create a visual connection between the indoors and outdoors, inviting guests to experience the stories of refugees from a new perspective. Our expertise in glass design has made it possible to achieve a seamless integration between corten steel and glass. This has resulted in a visually impressive interplay between the rustic appearance of corten steel and the transparent glass, allowing guests to experience both the legacy of the past and the light-filled surroundings of the present.

Through our innovative approach to glass façade design, we have created an atmosphere of openness and transparency that encourages guests to explore and learn from history. This glass façade solution is not only an aesthetic element but also a symbolic representation of survival, hope, and dreams for the future found in the stories of past refugees, which remains a reality for today’s refugees.

It was a pleasure to engage in an exciting collaboration with the architectural firm BIG to achieve the best and most innovative glass façade solution for the FLUGT Museum. We believe that architecture and design can convey stories and create a deeper understanding of the past and, importantly, the present we live in. With our solutions, we always strive to create a visual and emotional connection between the space and its historical significance.

“Working with Morten and Nordic Glass Solution has been a pleasure. We achieved a beautifully impressive result on the FLUGT project, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude you have shown throughout the process. I would like to highlight the open and honest communication and willingness to listen to one another, which has enabled us to solve challenges together and make the right decisions. Thank you for the collaboration.”
