Full Project Description – Irmahus

We have delivered and installed 24 robust and fire-resistant walkable skylights for the atrium of the upcoming hotel and commercial building at Bassin 7.

These specially designed skylights are built to withstand a load of 5 kN/m², with 12 of them meeting the demanding EI60 fire rating.

Our solution included everything from triple-glazed thermal glass to internal framing, insulation, roofing membrane substrate, and external flashings in galvanized steel, which were efficiently and quality-assured on-site.

We are pleased to have contributed to this impressive project, which not only features a signature hotel and commercial facilities but also exclusive spa, wellness, and a fantastic sky bar with a view terrace.

Bassin 7 Erhverv ApS is the developer of the new hotel and commercial building being constructed at Bassin 7 on Aarhus Ø. A general contracting agreement has been made with NCC, who is handling the construction. The building is designed by BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group and has a total floor area of approximately 37,000 m², along with an underground parking facility of about 8,600 m² spread over two levels.

The hotel section will be operated by Scandic as a signature hotel, featuring 342 rooms distributed across 8 floors. The ground floor will include a reception, café, restaurant, shops, an orangery, meeting and conference rooms, and more.

On the 15th to 17th floors, approximately 2,000 m² will be dedicated to an exclusive spa and wellness area, while the top floor will host a sky bar and view terrace.

The commercial section comprises about 16,000 m², primarily to be leased for office space, as well as small shops, a restaurant, and a café.
